My baby was only 5 days old when he had his first Bowen treatment.

He had a traumatic birth with suction caps used. I was so stressed my baby had reflux, colic, was hungry all the time because my milk had not come through (for those who know, it’s very painful for us mothers). Another problem was my baby boy was not able to move his neck which was stiff to the left where it stayed all the time.

Visited the hospital midwife for advice the third day..   By the time he was five days old, I had had enough, sleep deprived and unable to give a proper feed from my supply I had to resort to the supplement feeds.

My mother suggested to go to Joan for some Bowen therapy. Within two hours after a Bowen Therapy treatment my baby boy was able to move his neck, he feed without any symptoms of colic or reflux also my milk was finally flowing freely. Joan recommended we both had a treatment. I agreed and had the luxury of a Bowen treatment at the same time to help with my aches post birthing pain, improve my milk supply.

We were so happy we phoned Joan to let her know my milk supply was flowing freely.  It all happened that day. Released all my tension so that I could finally feed my baby.  To my surprise my baby was more relaxed, slept better, had no restriction in his neck, no colic or reflux and after another 4 weeks, all is going well.
